Oxfordphotographic.co.uk offers the photographer the ability to combine the best of analogue and digital photography. We can produce high quality scans of up to 3200dpi optical and 16bits that will capture the whole tonal range of your film and produce images of unrivaled clarity and ultra smooth tonal gradations that surpass the quality of images produced on even professional DSLR. For instance a 35mm frame scanned at 3200dpi produces a file of over 15 megapixels, a top DSLR creates a file of around 12 megapixels.
Please contact us if you require higher resolution scans.
Our scanners are used with custom made ICC profiles for each film stock, such as Fuji Velvia or Provia. These profiles are updated regulary to produce the best scans possible.
Medium format film and 5x4in sheets are scanned to an optical resolution of 3200dpi 16bits.
All scans are supplied un-edited (please see Digital Editing for details of editing) and are not colour corrected. Dust removal will NOT be applied to any film unless requested and quoted for. Scans will be supplied as Tiff files in the ADOBE RGB colour space even if they are monochrome.
Files will be burnt to a CD or DVD subject to a charge of £5 per disk Excluding VAT. Please state whether you require the files to be burnt to a CD or DVD.
Contact sheets of scans or supplied files are available at £5 Excluding VAT per A4 sheet.
